In the Arthur Miller created a very malicious character named Abigail Williams. Abigail Williams plays a big part in The Crucible. She doesn't want to take blame for anything and would rather other people die than for her reputation to be ruined. She dances naked in the woods with other girls and gets caught and then she starts to accuse people of with craft. She is a very evil and mean person. She has an affair with John Proctor and tries to get his wife killed so she can be with him. Proctor begins to hat her and views her as a whore. She accuses Elizabeth Procter of committing witchcraft because she wants to have Elizabeth killed so she can be with john although john does not like her anymore. She is very selfish and cares only about herself. In the beginning she was worried that her reputation would be ruined because she had been dancing in the woods and drinking blood so she began to blame everyone but herself. She didn't like Salem and she wanted revenge. Because of her many people were killed and lost their lives because of her selfishness. She loved herself and thought of no one but herself. She tried to act like she was right with God and accuse others of being with the devil when really she was the one who was not with God. She blames everyone but herself and would much rather other people die then to have a bad reputation. She acts like peoples spirits attack her and get other girls caught up in it. She denies her affair with john proctor and lies about a lot of other things. She is very evil, selfish and manipulating.
Evil, manipulating, and dishonest are things that describe Abigail Williams. She doesn't want to ruin her reputation and will do anything to save it because she is very selfish. At first she comes off as a good person to the town and they like her but towards the end they have turned on her and started to see all the wrong in her. You never really know what to expect of Abigail because she changes her position towards people constantly. In the beginning she loves John but then later she tries to have his wife killed and ends up getting her put in jail. Also as soon as she found out that Mary Warren was telling the truth she started to turn on her to.
Abigail Williams could be compared to an ipod. With an ipod at first glance you just see the outside and you don't know all the things it has on the inside until you turn it on. When its turned on it has music, videos, photos, and can be used for many different things. A similarity between an ipod and Abigail Williams is when you put the songs on the ipod on shuffle. When your ipods on shuffle your not really sure what songs going to come on next and what its going to play. This relates to Abigail because you never really know what to expect with her because she comes up with new lies and evil things all the time. Another way an ipod can relate to Abigail is that some people like Abigail while others dont. This relates to an ipod because some people might like one ipod that has certain music on it but another person might hate the music that is on that ipod. An ipod can represent teenagers because almost all teenagers are into the latest technology and music and a lot of teenagers own an ipod. Abigail also represents teenagers in the book because a lot of the follow her and what she does. Another similarity between an ipod and Abigail is that they both could be used for evil. Abigail is evil for the things that she does but an ipod could represent evil because some people steal music to put on their ipods. I think the author portrayed Abigail this way because so many people are like her. It seems that everyone only cares about themselves and their reputations. People can be really cruel and there are a lot of people like Abigail out there.
Abigail is a very evil person and ruins many people lives. She is manipulating and cruel. As you get further in reading the book you realize more and more how Abby only cares for herself. She wants things to go her way and to get what she wants and she will go about doing it anyway. Its hard to tell what she will do next because she is very unpredictable. Just when you think that maybe shes done enough and will stop she takes it a step farther and does something even worse.

Reflection on The Crucible Essay
Reflection on the Crucible Essay
In my crucible essay I wrote about Abigail William and how Arthur Miller portrayed her. I told about the way she acted and the trouble that she caused. In this essay i was trying to compare Abigail to an ipod and find similarities and differences between her and the ipod. The main idea of this piece was to show how evil Abigail was and how that could relate to an ipod. I had to really think when i was writing this because it is hard to think of ways that an ipod is used for evil. I had to think differently than i usually do but in the end i came up with several similarities. I have learned a lot about writing in this class. I learned that i need to use more descriptive words and make things interesting but stay on topic at the same time. This was probably my favorite writing that we have done in this class so far.
When i went back to revise this piece I wrote more about Abigail and less about the ipod. I told why i thought Arthur Miller portrayed her the way she did and discussed her character more in depth. In Holt's' piece he compares John Proctor to a potato and has many good things to say. He said that a potato is a plant that grows from the ground and John is a farmer who works on land a lot. In Emily Anna's crucible essay she compared Abigail Williams to a head band. She said that when you look at a head band it doesn't seem like it could harm someone but it could just like Abigail. From these classmates i found out how they compared things to their characters in a different way that i probably would not have thought of.

My first day at McCants
When i was eleven years old my parents came in my room to have a talk with me. My parents broke the news to me that we would be moving because of my dad's job. I had lived in Louisville Kentucky for most of my life, and i was not ready to move. My dad wanted to move to Anderson, S.C. to become the preacher at Concord baptist.
In February we had to go visit the church. My dad preached there and then they voted and he became the new pastor there. Words cannot explain how furious i was. I couldn't believe my parents would do this to me. It was my first year of middle school and i did not want to leave my friends. Over the next month we had to do a lot of stuff to get ready to move. The closer the time got to moving the more upset i got. I didn't even want to speak to my parents.
I didn't try to cooperate with my parents at all but in early march i had to move. I cried as we pulled out of our drive way and i saw the moving van driving away. That night when we got to our new house i started to unpack and organize my room to get settled in. Two days after we moved i was supposed to go to my new school. The morning i woke up to go to school it had snowed outside and school was canceled. The next day i had to go to school but it was only for a half day because of the snow.
Until i had moved here i had gone to private schools and after we moved i was going to have to attend a public school which was a big change for me. When i walked in the school for the first time i was very nervous and didn't know where to go. I could hear whispers and feel people staring at me wondering who i was. I was so nervous i was shaking. Slowly i walked down the hall passing new faces and looking for my room number. My schedule was different because it was only a half day and i wasn't sure which classroom to go in.
I started getting worried when i heard the bell ring and i felt students rushing past me to their classrooms and i heard lockers slamming. After that i was in the hall by myself still searching for my classroom. I thought i had found it but i didn't want to walk in because i was worried it would be the wrong class. Finally the teacher came out of the room and asked me if i needed help. I showed her my schedule and she told me i was supposed to be in her class. I walked in and she pointed to a seat in the back for me to go to. I felt people staring at me as i walked to my seat. Then the teacher introduced me to the class. Everyone was really friendly and i got a lot of attention for being the "new" girl. At lunch people kept coming up to me and introducing themselves. I made a lot of friends and I'm still friends now with some of the people i met that day.
